CARLINA RICCA

CARLINA RICCA is a singer-songwriter, dancer, actress, and musician with ambitious dreams to grace the radio, screen, and stage. A proud native of Pittsburgh, Carlina is a bi-coastal performer who aspires to share her passion with the world. Carlina’s music can be described as a sultry blend of jazz and R&B, often featuring herself on the alto saxophone. Her first studio singles, "Winter Blues" and  “Summer in New York”, will be featured on her upcoming album, "Life's Seasons" out 3/29. "SOS", a jazzy version of Rihanna's hit song, is her most recent release with a music video coming soon...

Proud of her heritage, Carlina has a strong connection to her Italian roots planted by her grandparents who immigrated from Abruzzo, Italy. Her Nonno and Nonna inspired her love for music, dance, and performance. She cherishes the memories made at her grandparents’ house, dancing and singing in the dining room after dinner. As a little girl, Carlina became passionate about performing and knew she could pursue it. When she was two, Carlina began studying dance, then danced competitively. At age eleven, she began vocal training and picked up the alto saxophone.

As she reached her teen years, she participated in the high school musicals, finding her love for musical theatre. Carlina was a proud “band kid” in high school participating in the marching band, jazz band, and choir, always hanging out in the music wing. Her original plan to study engineering in college changed her senior year of high school. The hard work and passion she felt through her extracurriculars encouraged her to follow her dreams. Carlina furthered her studies at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy of the Performing Arts (AMDA) in both NYC & LA, earning her BFA in Musical Theatre.

Along with music, Carlina has been a part of Disney's 100 Years of Wonder and played "Vanessa" in the upcoming movie, American Spark. She continues to use social media to spotlight her love for performing with monthly themes to her content ("Love Thru the Decades", "12 Days of Song"). Carlina creates social media content every Tuesday, known as “#TuneTuesday”, to spread her love for music to the world and does a "#Daily Dance" to remind her followers the importance of taking breaks throughout their day.

Hard work continues to be the core of her passion. Her Nonno and Nonna’s passion for life fueled her desire to pursue this career. Carlina hopes to do the same with her own music; let her passion fuel others to be passionate about life.
